Share information with the class. 1. Identify the source. 2. Tell us what you discovered. 3. Write and submit your three most important sentences. Tuesday- Finish information sharing if needed. Explain final assessment for Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. 40% Hand-out for final assessment: Dramatic Reading and "How to Become a Bum." Wednesday-Friday- Working on final assessment. Prepare to present on Monday. Week of Monday October 20- Friday October 24 Friday- Toga Day! Finished reading the poem. Done! HW- work on information to present in class on Monday. Thursday- Went to the library and looked up literary analysis about Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and relevant history of the time. Presenting this information on Monday. Worked in pairs. Wednesday- Annotated lines 1733-1769. Looked for changes in character in both Gawain and Lady. HW- Finish Part III page 153 line 1997. Tuesday- Pentangle assignment due (30%, 40% for Period 3). Monday- Read about the hunt and the first temptation. Ended on page 115, line 1401. Discussed the juxtaposition of the hunt and the seduction. Each can be viewed as its own hunt. There is prey, patience, competition, and victory. Also, an appeal to God is used for before and after each hunt. We watched two videos about temptation from YouTube: The Marshmallow Test and the trailer to Temptation. |

Thursday and Friday- All classes: Finish Sir Gawain and the Green Knight Part Two Line 1125. Write an alliterative statement about the lord's wager to Gawain. Examples from the class.
Weekend homework: 1.) Read Lines 1126-1262. Read as if you were going to have a quiz.
